Hi, I am a Ph.D. in Prof. Robert Shepherd’s Organic Robotics Lab (ORL) at Cornell. My research focuses on new energy system design for applications in soft robots. I am also the co-founder of Food2X to reimagine food waste as a useful resource.

I was awarded the German Chancellor Fellowship (50 in the world) from the Humboldt Foundation (2020), was a Young Changemaker on Sustainable WASH Solutions (1 of 5 globally) by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) (2021), was among the “AACYF Top 30 Under 30 Elites” (30 in the US) in “Art, Culture, Entertainment, Science” by All America Chinese Youth Federation (2020), was selected into the Clinton Global Initiative University by the Clinton Foundation (2020), was featured by SPARK - Energy Re-Imagined to speak at the Hydrogen Stream in London, UK (2021), and was selected as named as a Local Pathways Fellow by the UN SDSN–Youth (2020-2021).

I was named a BP Advancing Energy Scholar (30 in the world) and featured by BP plc as a Future Energy Leader (11 in the world) to attend the One Young World Summit in London, UK (2019). In 2018, I participated in NSF's UNY I-Corps ‘Clean Energy’ Short Course, and was selected into the W.E. (Women Entrepreneurs) Cornell Program, which helps STEM women commercialize their innovations and overcome the challenges of leading a growing technology-based business.

Before coming to Cornell, I graduated from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, Canada in 2018, and Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2016. I have published four first-authored journal articles, on Matter (Cell Press),  Analytical Chemistry, and the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy. I received the National Scholarship (Top 0.2%) from the Ministry of Education China. I have also been serving as a referee for the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy and IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters.
